Celebration of Posan Maah Abhiyan

ICAR KVK, Thiruvannamalai organized Poshan Maah Abhiyan in collaboration with ICDS and Sri Akilandeswari Women’s College (SAWC), Vandavsi on 26th and 27th September 2023 at Arasankuppam and Vandavasi respectively. Mr. V.Suresh, SS & Head inaugurated the programme and given special address on roles and responsibilities of farmers for food sustainability. Mr.S.Ramesh, President, TNBRD, Mr.M.Ramanan, Secretary and Dr.S.Rukmani, Principal, SAWC, Vandavasi were participated as a special guest.

Mrs.S.Kannaki, CDPO, ICDS delivered lecture on “Importance of nutri products for better nutrition. Mrs. T.Margaret SMS explained about millets for healthy diet. Miss. M.Ishwarya SMS delivered lecture on role of bio fortified millet varieties for farmers. The millet based food competition was conducted and prize distribution was done. In total 40 nos of vegetable seed kit were distributed to the participants, 150 Officials, farmers, students and Anganwadi workers were participated.
